Eagle Women Move Up To No. 7 In WBCA Poll

Ashland University's women's basketball team continues its climb back up the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll.

In the latest edition of the poll, released on Tuesday (Feb. 26) afternoon, the Eagles have moved up three spots to No. 7. Ashland is 25-2 overall and 17-2 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference going into the 2018-19 regular-season finale on Thursday (Feb. 28) at 5:30 p.m. at Kates Gymnasium vs. Wayne State.

This is the 101st time Ashland has been in the top 25 of the official Division II coaches' poll, and the 83rd time the Eagles have been in the top 10. All-time as a nationally-ranked team, AU is 195-14 (.933).

Ashland is one of two GLIAC teams in this week's poll, along with T-No. 8 Grand Valley State.

The Eagles have at least two home games remaining this season – Thursday vs. Wayne State and a GLIAC Tournament quarterfinal on March 5 at 5:30 p.m. vs. an opponent to be determined.
