For the eighth time in the last nine seasons, Ashland University's women's basketball team will play in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Final Four.
The No. 6-ranked Eagles (27-2), the tourney's No. 2 seed, will take on No. 3-seeded Michigan Tech (21-8) at 4:30 p.m. on March 9 at Grand Valley State. Earlier this season, on Jan. 3 at Kates Gymnasium, Ashland defeated the Huskies, 80-58, and overall, the Eagles have won six straight games in the series. In the other tournament semifinal, the top-seeded Lakers (27-2) will play No. 4 seed Northern Michigan (21-8) at 2 p.m. on March 9.
The 2019 GLIAC Tournament championship game will be March 10 at 3 p.m. at GVSU.
