A short time after Ashland University guard/forward Jodi Johnson became a one-time 2018-19 All-American, she became a two-time 2018-19 All-American.

After being named a third-team Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America on Monday (March 26), Johnson garnered honorable mention All-America status from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). It is the second consecutive season Johnson has been named an All-American by both organizations, as she also was named National Player of the Year by both as a sophomore.

Starting as both a forward and guard, and playing multiple positions throughout her junior campaign, Johnson averaged 18.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.4 steals in 33.8 minutes per game, and shot 57.8 percent from the field, 33.7 percent from 3-point range and 87.6 percent from the free-throw line. She ranked second in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in scoring, minutes per game, field-goal percentage, free-throw percentage, and steals per game, and ninth in rebounding.

This past season, Johnson was a double-digit scorer in 25 games, and a 20-point scorer on 14 occasions.

For the second year in a row, Johnson's personal accolades list is a long one. In addition to the two All-American awards, she has earned third-team Google Cloud D-II Academic All-America, first-team D2CCA all-region, All-GLIAC Tournament team, All-GLIAC first team, All-GLIAC Defensive team, College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) academic all-district, and five GLIAC South Division Player of the Week awards.

Entering her senior season, Johnson is the only player in Ashland women's basketball program history to be in the top five all-time in scoring (fifth, 1,675 points), scoring average (fourth, 16.1 ppg.), free throws made (second, 431), field-goal percentage (third, 56.9), 3-point field-goal percentage (first, 45.8), free-throw percentage (first, 85.2) and steals (third, 304).

Johnson helped Ashland to a 29-3 record overall and an 18-2 mark in the GLIAC in 2018-19, as well as the Eagles' fourth consecutive GLIAC Tournament championship and fifth straight appearance in the NCAA Division II postseason.
