The 2019-20 season for the No. 8-ranked Ashland University's women's basketball team will begin with three regional games in less than a week vs. Great Midwest Athletic Conference rivals.
Ashland will play two games in Louisville, Ky., against Cedarville (Nov. 8, 12:30 p.m.) and Ohio Dominican (Nov. 9, 12:30 p.m.), then play host to Findlay on Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Kates Gymnasium.
"For Division II women's basketball, regional ranking is everything, in terms of the NCAA Tournament," said Ashland head coach Kari Pickens, "and playing in-region games is a huge factor in that. I love that we get to open up with three real quality in-region games, because, come tournament time, that's really going to help us."
Last season, Cedarville was 23-7, Ohio Dominican finished 15-14, and Findlay was 20-8.
