Eagles Finish Second in Bing-Beall Fall Classic

The Ashland University women's golf team finished second in the Bing-Beall Fall Classic on Sunday and Monday (Oct. 13). The 15 team tournament was held in Findlay, Ohio at the Findlay Country Club.

Kaitlin Neumann finished tied for fourth place in the tournament with rounds of 78 and 74. She finished just three strokes back of the medalist, Paxton DeHaven from Indianapolis. Neumann sank four birdies and 22 pars over her two rounds.

Abby Tepe also turned in rounds of 75 and 78 to earn her a sixth place finish. Madison Musick shot a combined 157 and finished tied for 12th. Rounding out the field of Eagles were Ali Green (158), Emily Jereb (159), and Ashley Franks (171).

The University of Indianapolis won the tournament with an overall score of 605. Ashland finished second shooting a 616, just 11 strokes back. Rounding out the top five were Findlay (629), Walsh (643), and California-PA (644).

The Eagles will return to the links on October 18th and 19th in the Malone-Pioneer Invitational. The event will be held in Massillon, Ohio.
