Women's Golf Ranked Fifth in the Country

The Ashland University women's golf team is ranked fifth in the country in this week's national poll according to Golfstat. The fifth place ranking is up four spots from ninth in last week's poll.

The Eagles just finished up a weekend at the Bing-Beall Fall Classic hosted by the University of Findlay. AU finished second out of 15 teams competing. The sixth ranked Indianapolis Greyhounds won the event by 11 strokes, 605 to 616.

Florida Tech is this week's number one ranked team, while fellow GLIAC member Grand Valley State is ranked second. Rounding out the top five are Nova Southeastern University, Lynn University, and Ashland University. The fourth ranked Lynn Fighting Knights are the division II defending national champions.
