Women's Golf Wins Pioneer Invitational

The fifth ranked Ashland women's golf team took home the team trophy this past weekend (Oct. 18-19) at the Pioneer Invitational hosted by Malone University. The Eagles topped the scoreboard shooting 595, 12 strokes better than the 607 turned in by the second ranked Grand Valley State Lakers.

AU's Ali Green, tied for medalist honors with a two round score of 145. GVSU's Gabrielle Shipley also shot a 145 on the weekend. Shipley won a sudden death tie breaker for individual champion. 
       
Senior, Abby Tepe shot a 77 on Saturday and a 72 on Sunday to finish tied for fourth place with a 149. Madison Musick finished just one stroke behind Tepe and earned herself a sixth place finish. Kaitlin Neumann shot a 151 which put the fourth AU golfer in the top 10. Emily Jereb finished 22nd with a 159.
