Eagles Sit Atop NC4K College Classic After Day 1

The Ashland University women's golf team sits in first place after the first day of the NC4K College Classic at Jefferson Country Club in Blacklick, Ohio.

The Eagles shot a 318 on Sunday (March 29), holding onto first place by one stroke over Grand Valley State (319). Rounding out the top five were Findlay (328), Northwood (335) and Ferris State (335).

Junior Ali Green shot a 72 in the first 18 holes to lead the individual field. Senior Abby Tepe shot a 79 on Day 1 and sits tied for fourth place.

The Eagles will return to the Jefferson Country Club links on Monday (March 30) for the final day of the tournament.
