Eagles Land Third In Tiffin Spring Invitational

The Ashland University women's golf team collected a third-place finish in the two-day Tiffin Spring Invitational at Mohawk Country Club.

The Eagles turned in a team round of 326 on Monday (April 13), just two strokes shy of the best round on the day recorded by the Findlay Oilers (324).

Grand Valley State won the event, shooting a 637 over the two days. Findlay finished in second place, eight strokes back with a 645. The Eagles collected bronze with an effort of 647.

Sophomore Kaitlin Neumann went into a playoff, as she tied for first individual honors. She shot a 78 on Sunday and a 76 on Monday, and ended the tournament in second place overall.

Junior Ali Green shot an identical 80 in both her first and second rounds. Senior Madison Musick collected an 84 on Monday, and senior teammate Abby Tepe shot an 86.

The Eagles will next golf on Saturday (April 18) and Sunday (April 19) in Canton, Ohio, at the JBMF Cavalier Classic.
