Women's Golf Finishes Third At Cavalier Classic

The Ashland University women's golf team put together a strong performance in Day 2 (April 19) of the Cavalier Classic at Glenmoor Country Club to finish in third place.

Coming off a first round of 318, AU combined for an impressive Round 2 low score of 310 to finish just eight strokes back (628) of the University of Missouri-St. Louis for first place (620).

Round 2 saw sophomore Kaitlin Neumann card a 75, the lowest by an Eagle on the afternoon. She finished the tournament tied for 17th with a 161. Senior Abby Tepe shot consecutive rounds of 78, giving her a total of 156 and tying for 10th place. Senior Madison Musick finished just one stroke back of Tepe with 157, tied for 12th.

The Eagles will next hit the links on Friday (April 24), beginning the three-day Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships in Findlay, Ohio.
