Eagles Maintain Eighth Place After Day 2 Of Nationals

Ashland University's women's golf team shaved nine strokes off its Day 1 total on Day 2 of the 2015 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships, recording a team score of 315 on Thursday (May 14) to maintain its spot in eighth place.

Indianapolis continues to pace the 12-team field, posting back-to-back rounds of 305-299—604. Central Oklahoma and Rollins each have two-day scores of 620, and are tied for second place.

Senior Abby Tepe shot a four-over 76 on Thursday to pace the Eagles, improving by nine strokes from Wednesday's 85. Sophomore Kaitlin Neumann also posted an improved second round, firing a 78 after Wednesday's 85.

Senior Madison Musick carded a 79 on Thursday, and her two-day total of 156 has her tied for 20th individually. Junior Ali Green (82) and sophomore Emily Jereb (85) rounded out AU's second-day effort.

The Division II nationals will continue with Round 3 on Friday (May 15) and Round 4 on Saturday (May 16).
