Ashland University's women's golf team finds itself fourth in a 13-team field after Day 1 on Saturday (Sept. 26) at the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invitational at Allendale, Mich.
The Eagles had a team score of 319 on Saturday, 12 shots behind leader Grand Valley State (307). Missouri-St. Louis is a close second (308), followed by Findlay (310).
Junior Kaitlin Neumann led the Eagles with a one-over-par round of 73, and senior Ali Green was close behind with a three-over 75. Neumann is third on the individual leaderboard, while Green is tied for fifth.
Rounding out the AU effort on Day 1 were junior Emily Jereb (84) and freshmen Monica Torda (87) and Morgan Eib (92).
The Eagles will play Day 2 at the invite on Sunday (Sept. 27) at 9 a.m.
