Eagle Women Take Third At Findlay’s Bing-Beall Classic

Ashland University's women's golf team finished in third place following the second and final round of the Bing-Beall Classic in Findlay on Monday (Oct. 12).

The Eagles shot a second-round 329 to finish with a two-day total of 642. Grand Valley State won the team title among the 16-team field with a two-day mark of 614, followed by the host Oilers (625) and AU.

Senior Ali Green was the top Eagle placer, tying for third individually with a Classic total of 76-78—154. Juniors Kaitlin Neumann (tied for 11th, 79-78—157) and Emily Jereb (16th, 75-86—161) each finished in the Top 20.

Freshmen Kayleigh McHugh (tied for 42nd, 83-89—172) and Monica Torda (tied for 59th, 89-87—176) rounded out the Ashland effort.

The Eagles will finish the fall portion of the 2015-16 schedule at the Trevecca Nazarene Fall Invitational, Oct. 26-27.
