Eagles Four Shots Back After Day 1 At Trevecca Nazarene

Ashland University's women's golf team sits just four shots back of first place after Day 1 of the Trevecca Fall Invitational on Monday (Oct. 26) at Old Hickory Country Club in Old Hickory, Tenn.

The Eagles shot a 322 as a team, four shots behind host Trevecca Nazarene (318) and just one stroke behind second-place William Jewell (321).

Junior Kaitlin Neumann paced the AU effort on Day 1 with a 77, good for a tie for second place individually. Freshman Monica Torda and senior Ali Green each shot 79s and are tied for sixth.

Freshman Kayleigh McHugh carded an 87, while junior Emily Jereb posted a 96.

The Eagles will finish the 2015 fall season on Tuesday (Oct. 27) in Round 2 of the Trevecca Fall Invitational.
