Strong Day 2 Gives AU Third-Place Finish At NC4K Classic

Slicing 26 strokes off its first-day total, Ashland University's women's golf team ended the two-day NC4K College Classic with a third-place finish among a 19-team field.

On Day 2 on Monday (April 4) in Blacklick, Ohio, the Eagles finished with a team score of 316, the second-best round of the day and the third-best round in this year's tournament. AU's two-day total of 658 was bested only by champion Grand Valley State (613) and second-place Findlay (643).

Two Eagles – junior Kaitlin Neumann and senior Ali Green – finished in the top 10 individually. Neumann fired a 76 on Monday to finish fifth with a two-day score of 154, while Green's 76 and two-day total of 161 landed her into a tie for ninth.

Freshmen Monica Torda (82) and Morgan Eib (85) each finished in a tie for 37th with a 36-hole total of 173, while junior Emily Jereb (82) was tied for 45th with a two-round score of 175.

Playing as an individual, freshman Kayleigh McHugh was tied for 51st at 89-88—177.
