Eagle Women Tied For Fifth After Cav Classic Day 1

Ashland University's women's golf team is tied for fifth after the first day of the 15-team Cav Classic in Canton, Ohio, on Saturday (April 16).

The Eagles' team score of 324 is 16 shots behind first-place Grand Valley State (308). Findlay (310) is second, followed by Lewis (313) and Northwood (314).

Junior Kaitlin Neumann led the AU effort on Saturday with a five-over-par round of 77, good for a tie for fifth individually. Freshman Morgan Eib ended the day with a 79.

Rounding out the Ashland day were senior Ali Green (83), freshman Monica Torda (85) and junior Emily Jereb (86).

The Eagles will finish the Cav Classic with Day 2 play on Sunday (April 17) at 10 a.m.
