Green, Neumann Receive WGCA All-Region Recognition

Ashland University senior Ali Green and junior Kaitlin Neumann have earned All-East Region honors from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).

Green, who will play in Day 2 of the 2016 NCAA Division II Championships on Thursday (May 19) in Aurora, Colo., won both the East Super Regional and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournaments, and came into nationals with a season average round of 75.71.

Neumann was 13th at the Super Regional and 10th at the GLIAC Championship, and finished 2015-16 with a season average round of 76.59. She was the medalist at the season-opening Ashland Eagle Invitational.

According to the WGCA, the All-Region teams consist of the top 10 players in each region, and are selected by the WGCA Division II Awards Committee, with the winner of each regional tournament receiving an automatic selection.
