AU Women Move Up To Take Fifth In Vegas

On the second and final day of the Las Vegas Desert Classic on Monday (March 6), Ashland University's women's golf team moved up two spots and finished fifth in the 14-team field.

The Eagles' second-day round of 311 allowed them to finish at 69-over 645. Lee (611) won the team title, followed by Missouri-St. Louis (613), Grand Valley State (636) and Regis (642).

Senior Kaitlin Neumann fired a 76 on Monday to finish in a tie for ninth individually with a two-day total of 12-over 156. Freshman Krystal Hu improved upon her Sunday (March 5) round of 84 with a Monday 75 to finish in a tie for 18th (159).

Sophomore Morgan Eib (83-81—164), sophomore Monica Torda (87-79—166), freshman Anna Schatschneider (90-85—175), freshman Logan Pottorf (94-84—178) and sophomore Kayleigh McHugh (89-92—181) rounded out the Ashland lineup.
