Ashland University senior Kaitlin Neumann has earned the first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's golf Athlete of the Week award of the spring championship season.
Off to a strong start in the spring, Neumann earned medalist honors on Sunday (March 19) at the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational in Georgetown, Ky. She fired a two-round total of 153 (79-74), then defeated Trevecca Nazarene's Alexa Rippy on the second playoff hole.
In Neumann's last six rounds, going back to the end of the fall season, she is averaging 76.3.
The victory was Neumann's third of her career as an Eagle.
