Another week, another medalist for Ashland University's women's golf team.

Finishing the three-round Perry Park Spring Fling on Sunday (March 26) in Perry Park, Ky., the Eagles moved up to take third place in the 18-team field. The Eagles' three-day total of 933 (311-312-310) was bested by only Findlay (902) and Missouri-St. Louis (918).

In doing so, Ashland had another individual champion. One week after senior Kaitlin Neumann won the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational, redshirt freshman Krystal Hu took the top honor at Perry Park.

Hu fired rounds of 77, 73 and 71 to finish with a three-day total of 5-over 221, one shot better than Findlay's Makenzie Torres. In her first three collegiate tournaments, spanning seven rounds, Hu is averaging a round of 77 and has two top-10 finishes.

Neumann finished 10th individually with a three-day total of 75-77-77—229. Sophomore Monica Torda (81-81-80—242) and freshman Anna Schatschneider (78-81-83—242) each were tied for 34th.

Sophomore Kayleigh McHugh was tied for 37th (82-82-79—243), while sophomore Morgan Eib finished tied for 57th (84-87-82—253).

UP NEXT: April 2-3 at the NC4K at Ohio Dominican.
