Ashland Women Take Fifth At NC4K College Classic

There was no movement for Ashland University's women's golf team on the second and final day of the NC4K College Classic in Blacklick, Ohio, on Monday (April 3), as the Eagles finished fifth in the 18-team field.

Following a team score of 319 on Sunday (April 2), Ashland fired a 317 on Monday to end the tournament at 636. Indianapolis (294-294—588) took the team title, followed by Findlay (315-303—618), Grand Valley State (306-313—619) and Northern Michigan (317-307—624).

Senior Kaitlin Neumann finished with her seventh top-10 placement of 2016-17, and her fifth in a row. Neumann was 78-73—151 to end in the tie for sixth place individually.

Redshirt freshman Krystal Hu ended the tournament at 79-75—154, and finished in a tie for 12th place. She continues to average a round of 77 in her nine career rounds to date.

Sophomore Morgan Eib (80-83—163) tied for 33rd, freshman Anna Schatschneider (82-86—168) tied for 47th and sophomore Monica Torda (90-88—178) tied for 75th.
