Ashland Women Tied For Third At GLIACs After Day 2

The Ashland University women's golf team moved into a tie for third place after Day 2 at the 2017 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday (April 22) at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.

Ashland's two-day team score is 325-320—645. Findlay is leading the field at 308-304—612, followed by Northern Michigan (311-314—625), Ashland and Grand Valley State (320-325—645).

Senior Kaitlin Neumann followed her 78 on Friday (April 21) with a 77 on Saturday, leaving her in a tie for fourth place individually. On Saturday, she birdied holes No. 4 and 14.

Sophomore Kayleigh McHugh fired a 78 on Saturday, including a birdie on hole No. 1, and is tied for 16th. Fellow sophomore Monica Torda is tied for 20th after a second-day round of 79 and a birdie on hole No. 17.

Rounding out Ashland's effort was sophomore Morgan Eib (87 on Saturday, 22nd individually) and freshman Anna Schatschneider (86 on Saturday, tied for 28th individually).
