AU Women Sit Eighth After Bulldog Preview Day 1

To begin its second tournament of 2017-18, Ashland University's women's golf team turned in a team score of 320 and sits eighth after Day 1 of the 11-team Bulldog Fall Preview in Big Rapids, Mich.

Freshman Hannah Lemons paced the Eagle contingent on the first day with a four-over-par 76. She is tied for eighth individually heading into Day 2.

Junior Monica Torda fired a 78 to tie for 11th, followed by sophomore Krystal Hu (82), freshman Sophie Hemleben (84), sophomore Anna Schatschneider (84) and sophomore Logan Pottorf (90).

Grand Valley State leads the field after 18 holes with a team score of 302, followed by Truman State (308) and Tiffin (313).
