Ashland University sophomore Krystal Hu is collecting hardware at a pretty fast pace.

On Sunday (Sept. 24) in the second and final day of the Saginaw Valley State Fall Invitational in Bay City, Mich., Hu finished off a medalist performance with a one-under-par round of 71. She ended the weekend at 68-71—139, winning the tournament by six shots.

In nine tournaments at Ashland, Hu has earned a pair of medalist awards, the first coming in the spring of 2017 at the Perry Park Spring Fling. She becomes the sixth Eagle women's golfer to win at least two tournaments in a career, and ties the program record for lowest 36-hole total, along with Ali Green's 139 at the 2016 Super Regional.

Hu's effort led Ashland to a third-place finish in the nine-team field. The Eagles ended at 298-313—611, four shots behind team champion Wayne State (607) and one shot behind second-place Northwood (610).

Freshman Hannah Lemons finished the weekend tied for 10th individually, playing the 36 holes at 75-78—153. Junior Monica Torda was tied for 12th at 78-76—154.

Rookie Sophie Hemleben was tied for 36th (77-88—165).

UP NEXT: Saturday (Sept. 30) and Sunday (Oct. 1) at the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invitational at The Meadows Golf Club in Allendale, Mich.
