Ashland Women Place Fourth In Fall-Ending Beall Classic

To finish the 2017 fall schedule, Ashland University's women's golf team placed fourth at the 14-team Bing Beall Fall Classic at Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.

In the second and final round on Monday (Oct. 9), the Eagle women finished with a team round of 310 to move up two spots to fourth at 315-310—625. Indianapolis won the team title (292-293—585), followed by Missouri-St. Louis (298-295—593) and Illinois-Springfield (308-311—619).

Sophomore Krystal Hu once again was the Ashland pacesetter, ending in a tie for 12th place individually at 77-74—151. Freshman Hannah Lemons followed close behind, placing in a tie for 15th at 78-75—153.

Junior Monica Torda tied for 31st (80-80—160), freshman Sophie Hemleben was tied for 34th (80-81—161) and sophomore Logan Pottorf tied for 81st (96-91—187).

In five fall tournaments, Ashland's women won a team championship, placed third three times and finished fourth.
