LINK – NCAA DIVISION II WOMEN'S GOLF REGIONAL RANKINGS
Heading into the 2018 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, Friday-Sunday (April 20-22) at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio, Ashland University's women's golf team remains at No. 7 in the East super regional rankings.
In the second set of NCAA Division II super regional rankings released on Thursday (Aug. 19) afternoon, the Eagles among the top nine teams in the East which were unchanged from the first set of rankings.
The third set of super regional rankings will be released on April 26. Selections for the NCAA Division II postseason will be announced on April 30 at 3 p.m. in a press release on NCAA.com.
The Eagles have been in the NCAA postseason every year this decade, and have played in the D-II NCAA Championships as a team in 2011, 2013 and 2015.
There are 61 teams in the East super region. Twelve teams, and six individuals not on those teams, will compete May 7-9 at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Mich.
The low three teams, and the low three individuals not on those teams, in each super region will advance to the 2018 NCAA Division II Championships, May 16-19 at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.
