Ashland Women Remain Sixth At GLIAC Championships

Ashland University's women's golf team stayed put in sixth place following the second day of the 2018 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, Saturday (April 22) at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.

The Eagles' two-day total of 331-318—649 is 42 shots behind first-place Grand Valley State (313-294—607). Northern Michigan (309-300—609) is second, and Tiffin (319-310—629) is third.

Sophomore Krystal Hu remains in the top 10 on the individual leaderboard, firing a second-round 76 to be in a tie for ninth place (78-76—154). Hu birdied hole No. 15 on Saturday.

Freshman Hannah Lemons shot up the board into a tie for 12th after a second-day 74 (83-74—157), which included birdies on holes No. 4 and 16.

Junior Monica Torda is 29th following a two-round total of 83-82—165, freshman Sophie Hemleben is tied for 43rd (87-86—173), and sophomore Logan Pottorf is 52nd (101-86—187).

Northern Michigan's Haley Hewer is the individual leader after 36 holes at 74-73—147.
