Sophomore Hannah Lemons fired a Day 2 low round of 73, and Ashland University's women's golf team recorded a 314 on Sunday (Oct. 14), to finish strong at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational.

Lemons' low round of the fall allowed her to finish at 78-73—151, and in a tie for third place individually – two shots behind McKendree's Natas Ainsley-Thomas, who won at 75-74—149.

That low score also paced the Eagle women's tied-for-fourth-place showing in the 14-team field. Ashland ended at 323-314—637, trailing only Illinois-Springfield (301-312—613), McKendree (310-308—618) and Southern Indiana (319-310—629).

Sophomore Sophie Hemleben finished in a tie for 10th place at 75-79—154, while freshman Sophia Lowe tied for 31st at 84-82—166. Rounding out Ashland's team play were junior Logan Pottorf (tied for 34th, 86-81—167) and senior Monica Torda (tied for 37th, 87-81—168).

Eagles playing as individuals were freshmen Virginia Travers (tied for 67th, 103-92—195) and Cece Dillon (69th, 104-92—196).

Ashland will finish the fall campaign on Oct. 22-23 at the Music City Invitational in Nashville, Tenn.
