Eagle Women Finish Beall Classic In 13th Place

The third and final round of Findlay's William Beall Fall Classic was played on Tuesday (Oct. 8), and Ashland University's women's golf team finished in 13th place in the 17-team field.

For the third time in four fall tournaments, junior Sophie Hemleben turned in a top-10 individual placement. On Tuesday, Hemleben finished the tournament in a tie for fourth place with a 72-75-76 scorecard – adding to her second-place finish at Gannon and tied-for-eighth-place showing at Ferris State. That total of 223 is tied for the fourth-best 54-hole total in program history.

Senior Megan Pollock tied for 55th place (80-81-84—245), sophomore Sophia Lowe tied for 72nd (83-81-91—25), and senior Logan Pottorf tied for 74th (86-87-85—258).

Indianapolis was team medalist (291-299-296—886), followed by the host Oilers (300-294-314—908) and Lindenwood (310-309-307—926). The Greyhounds' Cailyn Henderson was individual medalist at 71-73-72—216.

Ashland will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 14-15) at Trevecca Nazarene's Music City Invitational.
