Eagle Women’s Trio Posts Career-Lows At Trevecca

On the second and final day of Trevecca Nazarene's Music City Invitational on Tuesday (Oct. 15), three Ashland University senior women's golfers shot collegiate career-low rounds, as the Eagles placed 10th in the 13-team field.

Senior Megan Pollock fired a career-best round of 74 on Tuesday, finishing the tournament in a tie for 10th place individually at 76-74—150. Pollock recorded one birdie in the second round, on hole No. 14.

Another senior, Logan Pottorf, carded a career-low 77 on Day 2, including birdies at No. 8 and 10, and ended in a tie for 30th at 79-77—156. Finally, senior Claire Coughenour, who didn't compete in the first round, shot a career-low 91 on Tuesday.

Junior Sophie Hemleben tied for 35th at 78-79—157, while sophomore Sophia Lowe was 65th at 91-89—180.

Ashland's two-day score was 324-319—643. Indianapolis ran away with the team title (291-275—566), 31 strokes ahead of second-place Carson-Newman (301-296—597). Northwood (308-299—607) finished third.

The Eagle women will finish the fall non-championship campaign on Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 19-20) at Davenport's Panther Invitational.
