Eagles Lose To No. 12 UIndy On The Road

Ashland University's lacrosse team faced a tall task on Friday (April 12), taking on No. 12-ranked University of Indianapolis.

The top team in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference topped the Eagles, 23-1.

The Eagles (4-7 overall, 3-5 GLIAC) got on the board with 12:53 left in the game, as senior Haley Abraszek found the net, Ashland's only goal.

AU was outshot by Greyhounds 43-6. UIndy was also more effective on clear attempts, 7-for-7, to Ashland's 6-for-21. The Greyhounds also controlled much of the play, as they won 23 draw controls to the Eagles' three.

Krista Temple was the leading goal scorer in the game. She finished with six goals for UIndy.

The Eagles will play next at Concordia-St. Paul on Thursday (April 18) at 7 p.m.
