At Ashland - Mandara was one of AU's top wrestlers a year ago. He went 19-9, finished second at the regional championships and went to nationals for the second time in his career...was 0-2 at the national meet...begins the 2011-12 season ranked seventh in the country and third in the region at 133 pounds...in 2008-2009, Mandara was 15-12, placed fourth at regionals and went 0-2 at the national meet…in 2009-2010, Mandara was 1-2.

High School/Personal - Mandara was a two-time sectional champion and a two-time New York state placer, finishing fourth in 2005 and third in 2006…was a state freestyle champion in 2005 and 2006 and was first team All-Greater Rochester for two years…named first team All-Finger Lakes League three times…was an ASICS Cadet All-America in 2005…sported a career record of 118-18 on the high school level…is the son of Thomas Mandara and Laura Kaugh-Mandara…Thomas Mandara wrestled at Ashland from 1973-1977.
