At Ashland - Genetin is a three-time national qualifier...last season, Genetin reached the national meet but did not place after finishing fourth at the regional championships...went 19-12 last year with a team-high 44 escapes...had six pins and a pair of technical falls...in 2011-12, Genetin went 25-13 last season with six pins...was the regional runnerup...finished 0-2 at nationals...tied for second on  the team in victories and pins...began the 2011-12 season ranked fourth in the nation and first in the Midwest Region at 141 pounds...capped his freshman season by finishing second at the regional championships and wrapping up a berth at the NCAA Championships…was 0-2 at  nationals...went 12-8 in 2009-2010.

High School/Personal - At Perry High School, Genetin was 158-20…was a three-time state placer and a three-time All-Ohio Academic Team pick…recorded a pin in four seconds…lettered four times in wrestling…is the son of Barb and Greg Genetin.
