Ashland University freshman Michael Labry (Twinsburg, Ohio) is this week's GLIAC wrestler of the week.
This is the first year that the GLIAC has recognized a wrestler of the week. Labry is the first grappler to receive the honor.
At last weekend's Midwest Classic, Labry went 4-0 and won the tournament championship at 133 pounds. He helped the Eagles place fifth in a field loaded with some of the top wrestlers in the country. The tournament championship was Labry's third of the season, he also won titles at Eastern Michigan and the AU Open.
The rookie is 15-0. The Eagles do not wrestle again until they travel to Central Missouri on Jan. 6.
