At Ashland - Went 10-6 as a freshman and placed second at the Eastern Michigan Open.

High School/Personal - Burns placed first, second, third and sixth at the state tournament...four-time conference champion...finished sixth at the Super 32...record at Edison was 208-20...holds career records at Edison for most wins and pins...has Edison single season records for wins and winning percentage...four-year letterman in wrestling...while he was at Edison the Chargers were the Division III dual state champions...an exercise science major, he is the son of Bob and Kim Burns.
