Ashland University senior 197-pounder Joe Brandt is this week's Super Region Two Wrestler of the Week, as announced by D2Wrestle.com on Tuesday (Jan. 26).
On Jan. 20 at Notre Dame College, Brandt, ranked No. 3 in Division II, topped NDC's Garrett Lineberger, the No. 4-ranked grappler in the country, by a 3-1 decision. The victory was Brandt's 99th as an Eagle, and his 13th of 2015-16.
Brandt also is the top-ranked wrestler at 197 in Super Region Two.
AU's wrestling team will compete at the Region II Duals in Hartsville, S.C. on Friday (Jan. 29) and Saturday (Jan. 30).
