A second-place finish at the Midwest Super Regional has lifted Ashland University's wrestling team from unranked to No. 9 in Division II prior to the NCAA National Championships on Friday (March 11) and Saturday (March 12) in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Six Eagles will compete at nationals. Senior Joe Brandt is ranked No. 2 at 197 pounds, junior Brent Fickel is ranked eighth at 149 pounds, and going in unranked nationally are freshman Chandler Minnard (133), junior Bobby Mason (141), junior Jordan Murphy (174) and junior Brandon O'Neill (184).
