Ashland University 174-pound sophomore wrestler Christian Price is off to a hot start this season.

He's now taken home first place at the Ohio Intercollegiate Open and the Findlay Open in consecutive weeks, going 8-0 and improving his record to 9-2 on the year. Price won via pin, decision, major decision and medical forfeit on Saturday (Nov. 18) in Findlay, Ohio.

Seven Eagles joined Price as placers. Junior Sebastian Vidika finished fourth in the 125-pound bracket with a 3-2 record. Lawrance Dudgeon, also a junior, went 3-1 and placed fifth at 133.

Coming in sixth place were freshmen Carson Speelman (141) and Dustin Marteney (149), as well as sophomore Bret Romanzak (165). Freshmen Bryce Davis (125) and Tristen Weirich (285) finished eighth.

The next competition for the No-11 ranked Eagles is a home dual against No. 6 Pitt-Johnstown on Dec. 2 at 3 p.m. That's their first of five home duals throughout the 2017-18 campaign.
