Visiting Quincy Downs Eagles, 2-0

The Ashland University women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to visiting Quincy on Saturday (Sept. 2) afternoon at Ferguson Field.

The Hawks (2-0) scored a goal in each half as they out-shot the Eagles (0-1-1), 17-5 overall and 10-1 in the first half.

The Hawks doubled their lead in the 57th minute when Alex Severino chipped a shot to the far post and just off the hands of Ashland's backup keeper Hannah Lee.

Lee came on in the 29th minute when Lampe left the game after a collision with a Quincy player. Lampe made four saves while Lee finished with three.

Morgan Bittengle led the Eagles with two shots.

The Eagles will look to pick up their first win of the season on Monday (Sept. 4) night when they travel to Lake Erie for a game against the Storm. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
