The Ashland University tennis team lost to Grand Valley State, 8-1 Friday (Oct. 7) at the AU Tennis Courts.
The Eagles (8-3/8-3 GLIAC) managed just one victory on the afternoon. That came at No. 1 doubles where Victoria Goudy (Lexington, Ohio) and Paige Cooper (Mansfield, Ohio/Lexington) downed Tara Hayes and Alyssa Lucas, 8-3.
Ashland's next match is this coming Tuesday (Oct. 11, 3 p.m.) when Cedarville comes to town.
