Eagles' Win Streak Snapped Against Dragons

The Ashland University women's tennis team saw its two-match winning streak come to an end on Sunday (Sept. 20) against the Tiffin Dragons with a 9-0 loss.

The Eagles had won back-to-back Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contests for the first time since Oct. 4-5, 2013.

Ashland senior Martina Baca suffered a hard-fought loss in second singles to the Dragons' Valentina Mazzola. Baca forced a third set, but ultimately fell 6-2, 4-6, 11-9.

Senior Kendal Stephens also had a close match against TU's Aimee Kaye. Kaye survived 6-0, 7-5.

Tiffin improves to 4-2 overall (4-2 GLIAC).

The Eagles fall to 2-4 in the GLIAC, matching their overall record.
