Hart, Ogino Pick Up Wins in 7-2 Defeat at Oberlin

The Ashland University women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 match at Oberlin's Heisman Field House on Wednesday (March 14) evening.

The Eagles (8-12) won a pair of singles matches in the third set after losing the opening three in doubles play. Freshman Anna Hart earned a narrow, 2-6, 6-3, 10-5 victory over Mayada Audeh at the No. 2 singles position.

At No. 3 singles, freshman Hazuki Ogino was a 7-5, 6-0, 10-8 winner over Rainie Heck at No. 3 singles to pick up the Eagles' other win.

Oberlin's Lena Rich and Heck won in the second spot over junior Natalie Keron and Ogino in the closest doubles play match, 8-5.

This was the first of three straight road matches for Ashland since returning from their spring break trip in Hilton Head, S.C. The Eagles will play at Hillsdale on Saturday (March 17) at 1 p.m.
