Ashland University's women's tennis team competed against Grand Valley State on Saturday (Oct. 13), losing 7-0 on the road.
The Eagles are 1-7 overall and 0-6 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Lakers are 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles play, freshman Gabriella Hudec and sophomore Camille Ringot had the closest match for Ashland. They had a 4-3 lead before falling 6-4.
Ashland will play next on Sunday (Oct. 14) in Big Rapids, Mich., against Ferris State.
