Eagle Women Drop Home Tilt, 4-3

Ashland University's women's tennis team lost to Findlay on Thursday (April 4) in a tight 4-3 decision.

The Eagles lost all doubles matches, and had a one-point deficit to overcome in singles and were not able to do so.

Freshman Gabriella Hudec, sophomore Anna Hart and junior Allison Brooks picked up wins in singles.

Hudec won from the No. 1 spot. She dropped a hard-fought 7-5 first set, then battled back in the next two sets to win them, 6-4, 6-4, and claim the match. Hart also eked out a three-set victory at No. 3 singles. She won her match 6-2, 6-7, 6-4. Brooks won in straight sets, 7-5, 6-0, making quick work of Findlay's Mikaela Hindenlang.

The Eagles will wrap up their spring schedule on Tuesday (April 9) at home against Ohio Wesleyan at 3 p.m.
