Ashland Women's Tennis Loses At Northwood

Ashland University's women's tennis team lost to Northwood on Sunday (Oct. 13) on the road.

The Eagles (8-6 overall, 3-4 GLIAC) were in some tight matches, but ultimately were bested 5-2 by the Timberwolves.

Junior Camille Ringot kept her winning ways gong with a hard-fought three setter at No. 3 singles. Ringot lost her first set, 1-6, but was able to grind out the next two, 7-5, 10-6.

Junior Hazuki Ogino took a similar path to victory for Ashland's only other match win of the afternoon. Ogino, like Ringot, lost her first set, 6-4. She also was able to fight back and dominate play in the next two sets to win the match, 4-6, 6-1, 10-3.

The Eagles will return home for their next weekend of play starting on Saturday (Oct. 19) at 10 a.m. vs. Ferris State.
