Eagles Turned Away by Lakers, 3-0

ASHLAND, Ohio – The Ashland volleyball team walked into a staunch defense Thursday (Oct. 7) night at Grand Valley State as the Lakers earned a 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-18) win over the Eagles at Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale, Mich.

Three Eagles finished with double-digit dig totals, including junior libero Arian Martin (Independence, Ohio), freshman Kate Eckels (Loveland, Ohio/Mt. Notre Dame) and senior Lauren Schweitzer (Dublin, Ohio/Bishop Watterson).

Ashland, which is in the midst of a five-match road swing, will continue its three-match weekend trip on Friday (Oct. 8) when it plays at Ferris State beginning at 7 p.m.
