Fletcher helped guide the Eagles to three consecutive sweeps over GLIAC competition last weekend. She led the team with 41 kills and hit .353 with four service aces and three total blocks.

The 5-foot-11 freshman has really come on strong in the last few weeks and has eclipsed double-digit kill totals in eight of her last 11 matches. She had 12, 14 and 15 kills in the three matches last weekend against Tiffin, Ohio Dominican and Lake Erie, respectively.

She hit .423 against the Panthers in a match the Eagles never trailed in any set. Three of AU's top six performances in hitting percentage this season came last weekend.

"Fletch was very relaxed and confident in the last couple matches," said AU first-year head coach Cass Dixon after Saturday's match against ODU. "She's doing what we want her to do at the right time. She started as a freshman not sure of herself all the time and now she's really coming into her own."

With their three wins last weekend, the Eagles earned the right to host a GLIAC Tournament quarterfinal match on Thursday (Nov. 10) when they welcome Northern Michigan to Kates Gymnasium. The Eagles beat the Wildcats, 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-23), on Sept. 16 in Ashland. First serve on Thursday is set to go up at 7 p.m.
