Volleyball Loses Road GLIAC Match To Panthers

Ashland University's volleyball team fell to 19-8 overall and 12-4 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference following a 3-0 (28-26, 25-23, 25-17) loss at Ohio Dominican on Saturday (Nov. 7) afternoon.

The loss dropped the Eagles into a second-place tie in the GLIAC South Division with Hillsdale, one game behind first-place Findlay. It was just AU's third 3-0 loss of 2015.

Senior middle blocker Samantha Zuber had nine kills to pace the AU offense, while junior setter Mallory Slyder added 27 assists. Both freshman libero Kaitlin Bean (22) and junior outside hitter Casey Clark (21) had 20-plus digs.

Ashland will finish the regular season with back-to-back road matches on Friday (Nov. 13) at 7 p.m. against the Chargers and on Saturday (Nov. 14) at 4 p.m. vs. the Oilers.
