Ashland University junior outside hitter Alli Cudworth became the first Eagle volleyball player in eight years to earn All-America status from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Tuesday (Dec. 8), gaining second-team honors.

Cudworth led the Eagles in kills (491), kills per set (4.13), service aces (63), points (586) and points per set (4.9). She also had a .237 hitting percentage, 298 digs and 56 total blocks.

Cudworth led the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in kills per set, service aces, points and points per set.

She is the first AU volleyball player to earn AVCA All-America status since Lynsey Warren (third-team) and Mary Kate Glowe (honorable mention) in 2007. Ashland's last volleyball All-American overall was Brittany Snider (Daktronics honorable mention) in 2012.

In December, Cudworth received two 2015 All-Midwest Region awards, gaining AVCA first-team and Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) second-team honors. In November, Cudworth earned first-team All-GLIAC honors for the third time.
