Peck Claims GLIAC South Player of the Week Honors

Ashland University freshman setter Zoey Peck was named the GLIAC South Player of the Week the league office announced on Monday (Oct. 15) morning.

The Eagles have won five of the eight weekly awards given by the conference this season and Peck is the third different AU player to be recognized. Ashland has won the last two awards and four of the last five.

Peck was named to the Midwest Region Crossover All-Tournament Team last week as the Eagles went 2-1 against stiff competition to improve to 18-5 overall.

She was third at the event with 12.46 assists per set and finished with 162 assists overall. Peck helped the Eagles hit .222 in the three matches and had two double-doubles, averaging 2.62 digs per set.

Peck dished out a career-high 60 assists in a five-set win over McKendree. 

The Eagles have will now head to Grand Valley State and Davenport this week as they look to build on their three-match lead in the GLIAC South standings.
